Description

For sale is a pre-owned near mint condition 40mm 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. The Daytona is a T serial, circa 1995 production. The 16523 is fresh from factory service with a two-year international guarantee on the work performed. While at factory service, the Rolex received a complete movement overhaul and a refinishing of the case and bracelet. The Daytona is accompanied by inner and outer wooden boxes and Rolex Service Center paperwork. The Daytona features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed 18 karat yellow gold tachymeter bezel. The Rolex is mounted on its original 78393 Oyster bracelet which features brushed steel outer links, polished yellow gold center links, and is secured by a safety lock deployment clasp. The 78393 Oyster bracelet is stamped with a “W12” clasp code, which correlates with a production date of December 1995. The bracelet contains 12 full size links and sits loose on a 7.5-inch wrist. The Rolex features a champagne service dial with applied luminous yellow gold hour markers, polished gold luminous hands, and sub dial registers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. The movement used in the 16523 is the Rolex Caliber 4030 which features approximately 54 hours of power reserve. The case on the Daytona has stood the test of time well and contains crisp fairly thick lugs. The Oyster bracelet does contain some minor stretch, which is consistent with its age and remains in approximately 90% plus condition. Overall, the Rolex is in near mint condition, with the only imperfection being some faint surface level hairline scratches on tachymeter bezel in between 1 and 2 o’clock.
